A research project that will invite people to inform us of their experiences during COVID-19; how it has impacted on lives and in turn, creative processes.
Call Centre will gather responses from selected creatives nationally and internationally to consider the potential for positive outcomes from the imposed coronavirus restrictions and explore this new state as a catalyst for creativity. It will engage regional, national and international artists from contrasting rural and urban areas and operate creatively in response to life during COVID-19.
From their ‘outposts’ the satellite artists will look at how restructuring lives through loss of employment, quarantine, looking after children, the elderly or being in isolation has influenced their lives and practice.
Alan Smith and Helen Ratcliffe will work from the Call Centre hub at ACA Schoolhouse. Satellite artists have been appointed to each invite 3 additional contributors to the project, the amassed information from their participants will be passed to the Call Centre via this blog.
