What is Trading Post?
ACA is developing an anthology of loved and unloved items from homes in the High Forest Area. The collection will be amassed and exhibited in ACAshop. Please help us build this collection of individual histories, whether you are originally from Allenheads or have moved here. Please pop in and have a neb as the collection develops.
Your contribution could be something home-made, a family pass down, a book, a photograph, a garment, a letter, a poem, a piece of music, a film, a game or toy, an artwork, a curious, obscure or everyday item old and new, that has been proudly displayed or tucked away in your home.
Drop off at the former village Post Office and Shop in Allenheads on any Saturday or Sunday 11am-4pm and on successive weekends.
After the final exhibition all items will be returned to their owners or alternatively donated to a ‘trading’ event at which donors will be able to choose an item in exchange for the one they have donated.
If you have any questions please contact Andrew, Alan or Helen on 01434 685040 or email: acaheads@aol.com
The Allenheads Playlist
To compliment this broad portrait of the local community we are also compiling an Allenheads music list http://www.acart.org.uk/acasounds.html
ACA is compiling a broad playlist of the village’s favourite songs. If you have not done so already please send your list of favourite songs (max 10) to headalan@aol.com or drop off your handwritten list at ACAshop, the Hemmel cafe or Allenheads Inn.
The fast growing list currently has over 300 tracks and can be heard at http://www.acart.org.uk/acasounds.html or come listen in ACAshop.
