With their characteristically forensic eye, dogged investigators Hollington & Kyprianou are re-opening a murky case that may hold the key to understanding and predicting the future.
In their possession they have various documents and testimonies in relation to a peculiar corpse found in Allenheads, a village within one of the many quarantine zones during the 2001 foot and mouth outbreak.
Some say the corpse was that of a wandering eccentric; others, including a shadowy quasi governmental task-force make the extraordinary claim that the corpse was, in fact, that of the world's first documented time traveller.
Based on fragmented information provided by the leaked government investigation, together with some of his belongings and eyewitness accounts, the future findings will inevitably be incomplete. These narrative gaps, however, may well be as informative as the astonishing claims surrounding them.
