Nick Kennedy

Kennedy makes work using systems and devices that interfere with his control over the process of making. Elements of play and randomness are introduced to interrupt or affect a simple or repetitive series of actions that will define the image. This can sometimes mean Kennedy repeating an action thousands of times over. Sometimes tools or machines are used to mediate my actions and bring a level of autonomy into the mark-making.
